Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. Lee and I went to Selma to visit his parents on Wednesday night and stayed until this afternoon.Uncle Buck, Aunt Eva, Uncle Robert, and Aunt Melody came over for lunch. The food was so good. We had turkey, potato casserole, green beans, rolls, macaroni and cheese, corn casserole, cherry pie, and chocolate chip pie. Yummy! Thursday night Lee's parents and I played Taboo. It was a lot of fun. Lee and his did won but Lee's mom and I were not far behind. Friday at lunch, Lee and I headed to Nashville to see our friends and watch the Iron Bowl. Maybe we can do some Christmas shopping too. When we get home we are going to put up the Christmas tree.

Christmas shopping and Thanksgiving

I had a pretty productive weekend. On Friday, Amy and I went to see Twilight. It was good. I haven't read the books yet so I don't really have anything to compare it to. Maybe I will read the books but I'm still reading another book right now. By the way, if you're looking for books to ready, Jodi Piccoult is awesome. I have all but one of her books (it hasn't come out in paperback yet). She is very descriptive in her books. I'm a slow reader so I don't know how long it would take to read the Twilight series. Saturday, I cleaned house and then Lee and I went to Tiger Town to do some Christmas shopping. We got a little bit accomplished. I usually wait till a couple of weeks before Christmas before doing any shopping, but this year I told myself I am gonna get done early. Yesterday, I went back to Tiger Town and got some of Lee's gifts. His birthday is December 19th so I have to split the gifts up for him. We aren't really getting each other a whole lot since we are shopping for a new bed/headboard. But we'll see. I'm excited that it is only a 3-day work week and I get to eat a lot of good food. Wednesday, we are leaving to go to see Lee's parents in Selma. Friday night we are leaving to go to Nashville to see our friends and watch the Iron Bowl. I hope it's a good game. It usually is. I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving. I'm already hungry just thinking about it.

Starbucks, Cold Saturday, and Good football

I started the end of the week off right with a Cinammon Dulce Latte from Starbucks. Note, it is not on the menu anymore but they still have it:) It was very yummy. Friday night, some of the girls from work and I went to see The Changeling. I enjoyed it very much. Saturday...early, Lee and I headed to campus to attend the last home game at Jordan-Hare this season. It wasn't as cold as I thought it was going to be (until later). I really thought Auburn was going to win the game, as every game that I've been to this season they did win. But unfortunately it didn't work out that way. But it was still a great game. After the game, we headed back to the tailgate for some great barbecue and other snacks. Around 4, it started getting really cold so we packed everything up and Lee and I headed home. As soon as we got in our car it started raining but not didn't last too long. I fell asleep on the couch not long after laying down. Today, was a lazy day. I didn't mean to sleep as late as I did. For lunch, we decided to go to Applebee's for their 2 for $20 deal. You get an appetizer and two meals for $20. Pretty good deal. After leaving Applebees we went to Books-A-Million and Kroger. We are going to try an new dish tonight. Some chicken recipe Lee found on Food Network. He is always trying new recipes.

Birthdays, a halloween party, and Papa Roach

This weekend was a busy but fun weekend. Friday was my mom's birthday and Mason's birthday. Mom got a box of truffles and Mason got some treats and a new rope toy. This week we will go out to dinner for my Mom's and my sister's birthday, who will be 22 on Friday. Mason turned 4. He is growing up:) Friday night we went to the pumpkin carving with the Wiley's and then to eat pizza at Little Italy. That place is very good and very inexpensive. Saturday, we watched poor Auburn lose another
game. That night, Lee and I headed to Dr. Lock's annual Halloween party. It was a lot of fun. Lee was Jason Voorhees and I was a Geisha. I think I was a little more excited about my costume than he was but he was a great sport. Dr. Lock really goes all out for this party. He starts decorating over a month ahead of time and cancels clinic the week of the party. Route 66 played and they were great. Sunday, after gettig an extra hour of sleep, we went to Birmingham to visit my Papa Roach and Grandmother. They are so sweet and I love to go visit them and listen to them tell the same stories (which I request) over and over. They never get old and I love hearing them tell them. After eating lunch and having a nice visit, we left their house and went to the Summit and walked around and then ate at the Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately, I didn't have any room for any cheesecake after dinner. Here are a few pics of Lee (Jason) and I before the party:
